The Apollo Bay museum - housed in the buildings from which the undersea cable connected Tasmania with the mainland - is operated by the Apollo Bay and District Historical Society.
The museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays and school holidays from 2pm to 5pm and at other times by prior arrangement for group visits.
