The Toy Library is Coming!

Save the date! Apollo Bay Toy Library is opening 6 October!

At the toy library you can borrow from a vast array of well-made toys that have been designed to support your child’s skill development and imagination. Toy libraries aim to support families and encourage togetherness with quality time spent playing with children.

Toy libraries do have some fundamental characteristics, they:

  • Provide quality educational items for loan.

  • Are inexpensive (between $40 and $70 for an annual subscription).

  • Principally cater for younger children.

  • Have a range of items covering all stages of growth and development.

  • Provide an opportunity to meet other caregivers to share concerns, interact with others and make new friends.

  • Help parents and carers learn about the ages and stages of child development.

  • Will open every Friday 9-11am this term.

Apollo Bay Toy Library is a satellite of the well estabished Colac Library.

Apollo Bay Food Share Pantry is Here!

This is an outdoor, free access pantry that contains food which is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, require no appointments and no questions asked. The main aims are to avoid food and goods going into landfill and to help feed our community.

The pantry is located at the Marrar Woorn entrance closest to Apollo Bay Library. It’s tucked away safely, so everything stays nice and dry.

Our philosophy is give what you can, take what you need. We thank the various local businesses that help keep the pantry full and also rely on community donations.

Would you like to contribute? You can donate anything going unused in your pantry (no open packets), excess produce from your garden, or household items such as toiletries and nappies.

We are also looking for volunteers to pick up goods from businesses on the main street. Email the marrar woorn coordinator to get involved.

Come Dance to Mind Your Groove

Liza comes down from Forrest to guide the sessions. You can pay as much as you like, all are welcome regardless of age or ability. No bookings required! See you there!
