Introduction to exploring poetry!

May 31 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join Tierney and Yasi from Melbourne-based poetry collective Slamtidote for a workshop deep-diving into expression through poetry.

In this session we will discuss finding inspiration in the everyday, channelling feelings and thoughts into words on a page and using art as an escape from this ever-chaotic world.

Tierney:

Tierney Khan is a writer and poet from Naarm/Melbourne. During the day you can find her working at publishing company Allen & Unwin, but by night she is either MC-ing the latest Slamtidote event, performing poetry at a fundraiser or just plain scribbling in her journal at home with her cats.

Yasi:

Yasi is a apprentice carpenter by day, a poet by night. Having been a social worker in his previous career, Yasi brings a broad range of creative experiences that he’s experienced in his life to the table. Having been a poet for over 10 years, Yasi now finds joy in organising poetry events and running workshops in Naarm/Melbourne, with a passion in sharing his passion for poetry with others!

Proudly Sponsored by Apollo Bay WORDfest and Marrar Woorn WORDfest is a subgroup of Apollo Bay Arts.
