DESCRIPTION:Join Tierney and Yasi from Melbourne-based poetry collective Slamtidote for a workshop deep-diving into expression through poetry. \nIn this session we will discuss finding inspiration in the everyday\, channelling feelings and thoughts into words on a page and using art as an escape from this ever-chaotic world. \nTierney: \nTierney Khan is a writer and poet from Naarm/Melbourne. During the day you can find her working at publishing company Allen & Unwin\, but by night she is either MC-ing the latest Slamtidote event\, performing poetry at a fundraiser or just plain scribbling in her journal at home with her cats. \nYasi: \nYasi is a apprentice carpenter by day\, a poet by night. Having been a social worker in his previous career\, Yasi brings a broad range of creative experiences that he’s experienced in his life to the table.
